Rita Lee’s official instagram released a statement reassuring fans that hospitalizations are common in the singer’s case. “As anyone who has faced or is undergoing cancer treatment, hospitalizations may be required for assessments and evaluations,” informs a profile post.
“The family appreciates the affection, certain of the respect of privacy, as established from the beginning”, completes the publication.
According to the newspaper The State of São Paulothe singer’s health conditions are said to be “extremely delicate”, which has not been confirmed by either the singer or her family.
Rita’s husband, the musician Roberto de Carvalho, posted the same message on the artist’s profile and asked for privacy.
The last publication on Rita Lee’s social networks, before her hospitalization, was a photo of her nails painted for Carnival with the caption: “In a revelry mood”.
