Bassist and member of Raimundos, José Henrique Campos Pereiraknown as Canisus, died this Monday 13, at the age of 57. The information was confirmed by the musician’s official page on a social network.
According to the page’s profile, he suffered a fainting fall and was sent to the hospital. The musician, however, could not resist and died at 11:30. The cause of Canisso’s death has yet to be released.
The musician became known for participating in the original line-up of Raimundos, a project of which he was a part until 2002. After a period of absence, he returned to the group in 2007. In addition to Raimundos, Canisso has played bass in other bands of successful in Brazil, such as Detonautas and Rodox.
