With free programming and stages spread across the Rio neighborhood, Festival Lapa pela Lapa will take place on April 16

BK, Marcelo D2, Cynthia Luz, MV Bill, Drik Barbosa, BNegão and other great names of Brazilian rap will be part of the first edition of Festival Lapa by Lapawhich will have different stages around the bohemian neighborhood in the Central Zone of Rio de Janeiro, for free concerts or at popular prices on Sunday, April 16th.

In addition to the presentations, the event will promote debates on topics related to music, career and copyright, with professionals from each area, in different activities that start at 2 pm and go until 11 pm. There will be five stages/spaces in the region: UBC Space – Arco Iris, Palco Bud – Fundição Progresso, Arcos Stage – Arcos da Lapa, Virgin Music Brasil SpaceIt is Casa Save Lapa.

Lapa pela Lapa will also feature a rich program at Centro Cultural Tá na Rua, by the homonymous group directed by Amir Haddad, which will feature various activities and demonstrations by artists from the neighborhood, organized by the Salve Lapa association, such as Roda Cultural KGL, a show with MC Funkero and Live Paint with Minero Tattoo.

With a presentation and master sponsorship by Budweiser and the State Government of Rio de Janeiro, State Secretariat for Culture and Creative Economy, through the Culture Incentive Law, the Lapa pela Lapa festival will allocate 10% of the profit and all food donations of social tickets for Associação São Martinho, located in Lapa.

Idealized by the OLGA agency and carried out in partnership with the V3A and SRCOM agencies, the festival has a partnership with UBC – União Brasileira de Compositores, Selina, Rádio Mix, Mobees, Virgin Music Brasil and the Salve Lapa association.

“The Lapa pela Lapa project was created with the intention of valuing Rio de Janeiro and, consequently, one of the most traditional neighborhoods in the city. We believe that events like these move the local market and entrepreneurs a lot, in addition to valuing artists and creating unique experiences for the public. In this first edition, we chose to work with artists from the national Rap scene, giving light to the urban culture that flourishes throughout Brazil. ”, declares Mateus Simõespartner-director of Agência Olga.
