Average audience is around 100,800 people per day at the Interlagos Circuit
One of the biggest festivals that take place in Brazil, Lollapalooza attracts thousands of people every year. In 2023, it would not be different and the event (created back in the 1990s, in the USA, as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction) had a record public of 302,600 people in the three days, March 24, 25 and 26.
According to the press release of the festival sent to the Rolling Stone Brazil, the number of people who passed had a certain balance. The day with the fewest people was Saturday, which had Twenty One Pilotsand the most populous date was Friday, marked by the concert of Billie Eilish. See the breakdown below:
- March 24 (103,350 people);
- March 25 (98,500 people);
- March 26 (100,750 people).

Lollapalooza: How did Jane’s Addiction create the festival?
Jane’s Addictionthe founding band of Lollapalooza, performed this Saturday, the 25th at the festival. The event was created in 1991 by vocalist Perry Farrellas a farewell show for the band.
We inject new life into the live music experience (…) Now over three decades young, I’m excited for the opportunity to give people an inside look at the festival for music history,” Fareel told Rolling Stone USA in February.
Since then, Lollapalooza expanded into an annual event with roots in Chicago, and international editions such as Berlin, Paris, Buenos Aires, Santiago, Stockholm, São Paulo. The second edition in 1992 was headlined by bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Ministry, Ice Cube and Rage Against The Machine. The documentary will be directed by Michael John Warren and produced by MTV and has yet to be released.
