Josh Klinghoffer Couldn’t Hear Every Song From The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Latest Album And Admits Disappointment
Josh Klinghoffer did not hide disappointment with new albums from Red Hot Chili Peppers. The musician participated in the band between 2009 and 2019 and admitted to listening to the projects launched in 2022, after the return of John Frusciante.
With the return of the original guitarist, the group released the albums Unlimited Love It is Return of the Dream Canteen. “I needed to hear the new records,” josh told the journalist Wendell Correiafrom the channel 5 notes.
“I’ve heard a few things about them and had to check them out. I actually couldn’t finish the second one. [Return of the Dream Canteen]. I was listening before getting on the plane, I got to the 9th song,” he continued before the interviewer stated that it must be a complicated situation.
Hesitant, klinghoffer responded, “It’s tricky because honestly I think we were making cooler songs.” The guitarist added that he doesn’t like to make negative comments about colleagues, but revealed: “I was shocked when I heard the new album.”
josh was in Brazil with the Jane’s Addiction. He replaced the guitarist dave navarro (also formerred hot) who struggles with health issues: “As a band, we’re doing great, writing new songs and more in tune than ever. dave can be with us when he feels healthy and ready.”
“For the foreseeable future, our brother Josh Klinghoffer will be present at shows on the West Coast, South America and other international shows to be announced soon. We want to thank you for being with us for these thirty something years,” the band stated.
