What would Cazuza do at 65?

Singer and composer lived 32 years and died three decades ago

badass he would have turned 65 this April 4th. Since he died at the age of 32 years and a few months, in July 1990, we have on this date the same time of life and death of the iconic singer and songwriter. What would he have done in these three decades that we no longer let him produce?

Certainly many successes.

Apart from the first album of Barão Vermelho, a band he led at the beginning of his career, which did not record major hits (despite having “Todo Amor que Hár Nesta Vida”, for example), Cazuza’s career was marked from successful jobs.

Then, in 1983, “Pro Dia Nascer Feliz” arrived. The song, by the way, was played at the band’s presentation at Rock in Rio 1985, the day Tancredo Neves was elected president, ending the dictatorship – Tancredo did not take office, but the tribute was worth it.

“Maior Abandonado”, from 1984, was the last work with the band and had the hit “Bete Balanço”, which was even baptized in a film.

In his solo career, he released one hit a year, starting in 1985: “Exagerado”, “O Nosso Amor a Gente Inventa”, “Ideologia”, “O Tempo Não Para” (live) and “Bourgesia” .

Until his death of HIV in 1990.
