According to José Norberto Flesch, Lynyrd Skynyrd plays in Brazil in September
Lynyrd Skynyrd should come to Brazil in September, according to information from José Norberto Flesch, known for preempting concert announcements. Furthermore, the journalist stated that the show will be at Jaguariuna Rodeo Festivalin São Paulo.
The event takes place between the 22nd and 30th of September this year. Flesch did not confirm whether this will be the group’s only presentation in Brazil, but recalled that, when the festival brought Kansas as an international attraction, in 2002, the show was exclusive.
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Death of Gary rossington
Gary Rossingtonguitarist and last original member in Lynyrd Skynyrd, died on March 5, aged 71. The news was confirmed on the band’s official profile on social networks, without information about the cause of death.
“It is with our deepest sadness and solidarity that we must inform you that we have lost our brother, friend, family member, songwriter and guitarist, Gary Rossingtontoday,” says the text published on Facebook. “Gary is now with his brothers and family skynyrd in the sky, playing beautifully, as he always did.”
Gary was the last original member still touring with the band. He survived the plane crash that resulted in the deaths of three other members of the Lynyrd Skynyrd in 1977: Ronnie Van Zant, Steve Gaines It is Cassie Gaines.
