“Munch”, Ice Spice’s song always praised by Drake, was created with “deepfake”, which uses AI algorithms to simulate voices
drake expressed his thoughts on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the music scene after discovering that his voice had been used in a version of the song “Munch”in ice spice (via complex). The song in question was created using a technique known as “deepfake”, which uses AI algorithms to simulate human voices and appearances very realistically.
drake used their social networks this Thursday, the 13th, to comment on the voice of the AI. The rapper reposted a post where his voice was used in the song and disgustedly captioned it “That’s the last straw.” Check out the post below:

The case raises important questions about intellectual property and the use of advanced technologies in the music industry. According to the Financial Times, Universal Music Group recently asked major streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music to stop AI platforms from using their music to “train” their technology.
“We have a moral and business responsibility to our artists to work to prevent unauthorized use of their music and to prevent platforms from ingesting content that violates the rights of artists and other creators,” said a UMG representative. “We hope that our platform partners will want to prevent their services from being used in ways that harm artists.”
While AI has the potential to create new art forms and push the boundaries of human creativity, including hologram presentations, it is important to ensure that artists’ rights are protected and that they have control over the use of their image and voice.
