According to the lawsuit, Gugu worked in a real estate company close to the location, while Otacília was a maid for a family of Japanese descent.
The woman would have discovered the pregnancy at the beginning of the following year, in 1974, and would have sought out Augusto Liberato to break the news. However, Gugu was never found again. Ricardo Rocha was born in October 1974 and was registered without the alleged father’s name on the birth certificate. As he grew older, the merchant’s mother informed him that his father was Gugu Liberato, who began a successful career in television in the 1980s. However, Rocha preferred to leave aside the acknowledgment of his paternity.
