Treyce’s ‘Lovezinho’ Removed From Streaming Platforms Due To Copyright Conflict

Singer Nelly Furtado, owner of ‘Say it Right’, even issued a dance challenge to the Brazilian hit that features excerpts from her song

The hit ‘Lovezinho’ has been pulled from major streaming platforms and is no longer available on singer Treyce’s official profiles on Spotify and Youtube. The withdrawal was made this Wednesday 3 and comes amid a dispute over the copyright of the song, which contains excerpts from “Say it Right”, by Canadian singer Nelly Furtado.

in touch with EarthTreyce’s team said it would not comment on the matter for now. Despite this, they believe they can reverse their decision to pull the song soon.

The song went viral nationwide with the impetus given by the influencer Xurrasco, who created a choreography for the song. Nelly Furtado even joined the trend in early March this year.

The Sony record company owns the rights to use the song ‘Say it Right’. At the time Nelly Furtado challenged the Brazilian version of the background, the label was willing to close a deal with Treyce, which, apparently, did not happen.

OR Earth contacted Sony Music, who informed that the case involved Sony Publishing Brazil, and we received no response.
