Taylor Swift made song about her relationship with John Mayer and will re-release the album in June
Taylor Lautner said he is “praying” for John Mayer with the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in June. The actor, who had a relationship with Taylor Swiftwas asked about his feelings before the arrival of the new re-recording of the singer in an interview with Today (via NME).
Mayer was also with Swiftwho spoke about the two relationships in separate songs on the project: “Back To December” It is “Dear John.” The age difference between the singer and the guitarist was one of the topics in the lyrics (via Letters): “Dear John / I see it clearly now, it was wrong / Don’t you think nineteen is too young to be involved / In your twisted dark games, when I loved you so?”
Lautner he joked and said that he feels “secure” with the attention that the music dedicated to him can gain again with the relaunch. He also praised the work of Swift calling it a “great album.”
Taylor Swift is re-recording its first albums to gain control of its back catalogue. The original versions were owned by Big Machine Records, which, according to the singer, even banned the use of tracks in a television performance and in a documentary about her on Netflix.
