According to Britney Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, the singer’s father does not want to cooperate with investigations about guardianship
Lawyers for Britney Spears accused the singer’s father, Jamie Spears, to evade testimonies and not collaborate with investigations into guardianship. For about 13 years, he was responsible for controlling the artist’s stock and money.
Mathew Rosengartone of the representatives of Britneyasked the court in Los Angeles, United States, to Jamie is obliged to provide clarifications, as he would have impeded the progress of the process.
“Sir spears he can run, but he cannot hide forever from his legal obligations. He obstructed – for more than six months – bypassing the deposition and not responding to simple requests for basic information,” Rosengart he wrote.
Jamie would have agreed to collaborate with investigation, but did not comply with the agreement. “We imagine that a father who loves and wants to ‘protect’ his daughter (as he claims) would put her interests above his own. Such a father would demonstrate decency,” added the lawyer.
End of Britney Spears’ Guardianship
the guardianship of Britney Spears ended in November 2021. The judge Brenda Penny put an end to the father’s control, Jamie Spears, about the singer’s life, career and finances. In September, Jamie has been removed from the tutor role of Britney while both parties fought for the end of the process.
