Are you going to the Ibirapuera blues and rock festival? See tips for enjoying and extending the program

Find out how to get there, consult information about the festival and discover suggestions for a “combo” tour: visit to the Planetarium, visit to the NFT exhibition, food in the region and a beautiful blues show

Since you’re going to the show, enjoy the park. Since you are going to the park, have lunch somewhere different. It was very easy to arrange to enjoy a combination of pleasures this weekend at Ibirapuera Park, where does the The best of blues and rock festivalwhich will bring the bluesman Friend. Everything will be very close, just plan ahead.

First, check out the background information on how to get to the festival:

  • For those traveling by car and wanting to stop inside the park, the car park is at gate 3, located on Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral, s/nº. The maximum price to leave the car is R$ 14.
  • Since the demand for a parking space will be great from the morning onwards, and Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral is a corridor with many bus lines, it is advisable to arrive by public transport.
  • But there is no subway station nearby. Uber and other transit apps are another option. Leaving the region of Av. Paulista, at the height of Masp, the fare is approximately R$ 15 to R$ 20.
Friday:
  • Nanda Moura, 3.40pm to 4.40pm
  • Malvada, from 17:10 to 18:10
  • Extreme, 6.40pm to 8pm
  • Tom Morello, 8.30pm to 10pm
Saturday:
  • Dead Fish, 2.20pm to 3.20pm
  • Arthur Menezes, 3.40pm to 4.40pm
  • The Nu Blu Band, with Carlise Guy, 5:10pm to 6:10pm
  • Steve Vai, 6.40pm to 8pm
  • Buddy Guy, 8.30pm to 10pm
Sunday:
  • Day Limns, from 1.50pm
  • Ira!, from 15:20 to 18:10
  • Goo Goo Dolls, 4.50pm to 6.10pm
  • Buddy Guy, 6.40pm to 8pm
  • Tom Morello, 8.30pm to 10pm

And the income? Prices are as follows: R$ 450 half price, R$ 660 social price and R$ 900 full price. A combination for the three days of shows (they start on Friday and go until Sunday) costs R $ 900. -blues-and-rock).

And to lengthen the run?

Our advice is to arrive early to enjoy the park and recharge your batteries with the good restaurants in the area. In our proposal, it looks like this: arrive between 12:00 and 13:00 directly in one of these places:

Restaurant view

Brazilian cuisine with a nice view of the city, on top of the MAC-USP building, facing the park. The address is Avenida Pedro Álvares Cabral, 1301.

Wild

Selvagem – Opened in 2022 by the same owners as Vista, also with Brazilian cuisine. The charm is eating among the trees in the park. It’s near Gate 5.

Ready for MAM

Prêt-no-MAM – The third option is also inside the park. It’s a buffet at the Museum of Modern Art, with lunch, sweets, snacks, cakes and coffee. It’s near gate 3.

Stay there unhurriedly, enjoying the scenery (whichever you choose, the scenery is beautiful), and then set off towards Ibirapuera.

But okay, that’s a lot of shows. On Saturday, for example, while Dead Fish is playing (just kidding, take your pick, but don’t miss a chance to see Buddy Guy for nothing) some special corners of Ibira are worth exploring.

One of them is the Bienal building. It will host, between Friday and Sunday, the first 100% digital art exhibition called NFT.Brasil. There will be more than 500 works created by 150 artists. But what the hell is NFT?

The conversation is stubborn and a little strange for those who don’t really like technology, but these three consonants are starting a new relationship of art consumption in the world.

And the construction of Ibirapuera Biennial there is an entire exhibit explaining all of this, attended by leading NFT collectors. Tickets are on sale at the entrance or at ticketfacil.com.br.

If the atmosphere is different, more vintage, good advice is Ibirapuera Planetarium. Many knew about him through sad news. It was there that Rita Lee’s body was buried, by decision of her family. Rita loved going to the planetarium which is worth mentioning.

One of the warmest favorites for people in São Paulo, family or not, the venue opened in 1957 (but has gone through several upgrades). His shows are projected onto a dome 18 meters in diameter, where the journey through the universe becomes unforgettable.

Just, once again, program:

  • Enter the Planetarium website, planetario.urbiapass.com.br, and make a reservation.
  • Tickets cost between R$15 (half price) and R$30 and must be purchased in advance.

For those coming by car, the entrance is from gate 3. If you go on foot, it is better to enter from 10. But, if you have followed the advice of this combination to leave your car in the Vista Restaurante car park, for example, relax and walk. There are only pleasures on the way from the Ibirapuera Auditorium to the Planetarium.
