Plinio Fernandes wins the 2023 Brazilian Music Prize

Last Wednesday night (31st) was very special for Pliny Fernandes. The artist has just been awarded as New artist in the 30th edition of Brazilian Music Award. The award, which this year got the singer Alcyone and yours 50-year careerincluded in this edition the diversity and plurality of Brazilian music.

“It was a great pleasure to receive this award, which has a very special meaning, especially since the three nominees this year are instrumentalists. This is not only a personal victory, but a victory for Brazilian guitar and concert music.”he said Pliny.

Born and raised in St. Paul, PlĂ­nio Fernandes is considered a musical talent. The artist has spread his art all over the world, even in Royal Academy of MusicIn Londonwhere he received his master’s degree and live there seven years.
