After six years away from the stage, the band will perform shows in 2023 with the Cedo ou Tarde reunion tour
At the beginning of the year, the NX Zero confirmed a reunion tour that would mark the band’s first activities since 2017, when an indefinite hiatus was confirmed. for six years, Di Ferrero (voice), gee rock (voice/guitar), Philip (guitar), Daniel Weksler (battery) and Conrad Grandino (bass) didn’t go up on a stage together.
How was this loop sewn? In an interview with G1, the musicians revealed a little behind the scenes regarding this return. Initially, they made it clear that the 2017 hiatus was decided “without disagreements”, just because each wanted to explore different paths in and out of music.
Di Ferrero highlighted:
“We were always airing when it would be [o retorno aos palcos]. It just wasn’t the right time for one, it wasn’t the right time for the other. Coming back was really a very personal thing. We are friends before we have a band. We are brothers, we are brothers.”
Thus, it was up to the quintet to maintain communication so that everyone knew the moment of each one’s life and career. It was only a matter of time, after all. When it was successful for the five to talk in person, the meeting was drawn once and for all.
Daniel Wekslerin turn, stated:
“It was like that ‘let’s clear the game’ conversation. It’s important to make everything cute, to start without stress. Because there are many years of life, a lot that we went through.”
Determining pandemic
In addition to the natural desire to get together, the members of the NX Zero were encouraged to resume the band due to the pandemic. As everyone had to stay locked up at home without doing shows or playing other projects in person from March 2020, the nostalgic feeling began to hit hard, as he recalled Gee Rock.
“It was a little nostalgic, both for us and for everyone else. We felt that nostalgia. And it was a very good time for us to come back. It’s 22 years of band let’s celebrate a little more, everyone together. It will be massive.”
