Fans now know this. During a show held on May 4th in Milwaukee, in the United States, the artist broke protocol and made a long outburst about the problems he has faced in recent times, going to tears at one point, such emotion.

The situation occurred before the band played the song “A Reason to Fight”. It metastasizes, it takes over your body and your mind, your soul. And I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of losing everyone I love to depression and addiction.”

Same fate as Cornell and Chester?

Both took their own lives after a virtually lifelong struggle with depression. he also mentioned Scott Weilandsinger of Stone Temple Pilots who succumbed to addiction.

“Every band member on this stage has dealt with these feelings, with these demons. And I miss the friends we lost. I miss Chester, I miss Scott, I miss Chris. And to be completely honest with you, a few months ago I almost joined them.”

Despite the sad report, the voice of Disturbed left a final message that brings hope. The artist made it clear that the problems he experienced are very common and that no one is alone.

“Addiction and depression can happen to anyone, ladies and gentlemen. No one is immune from this, no matter how beautiful your life may look from the outside. No matter how blessed we may seem. It’s out of our control. Now, hands up, how many of you have dealt with the demons of addiction and depression or know someone who has? Keep it up. Now take a look around this arena. As you can see, my friends, you are not alone.”
