Kiss’s Gene Simmons Asked To Play The Thing From The Fantastic Four

In a letter sent to Stan Lee, the Kiss frontman asked to play Thing in a Fantastic Four movie

Gene Simmons at the marvel cinematic universe? The bassist and vocalist of kiss wrote a letter to Stan Lee in 1982 asking to interpret the Thing in film of Fantastic Four that would be produced.

The musician himself published the letter in full in 2019, as recalled by the website legion of heroes. simmons declared himself a fan of Marvel and took the opportunity to leave his portfolio: scenes from the film KISS: Attack of the Phantom (1978).

“Dear stan: Everyone has been talking to me about plans for a movie by Fantastic Four. In short, I want to interpret the Thing. Here are some scenes from ‘KISS: Attack of the Phantom’, a co-production of Kiss for television with Avco Embassy. Anyway, good luck with the movie. I’ve been a fan since the beginning and I still am. All the best, Gene Simmons.”

In an interview with ComicBook, simmons revealed that it received a negative response. Despite this, the bassist highlighted the education of Stan Lee by stating that he was happy with the request and would “consider it.”
