During Pride Month, the proximity of the Parade LGBTQIAP+ in São Paulo is moving Spotify and its users. Searches for the term ‘LGBTQIAP+’ grew 70% year-on-year on Spotify in Brazil.
The platform analyzed the profile of users who search for the term, in addition to listing which artists and songs are most listened to by this niche – which increased by 23% in the period from January to June of this year regarding the creation of playlists with the term in the title.
The biggest playlist creators are from generation Z (18 to 24 years old) from the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, followed by Minas Gerais, Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná. As for musical style, the pop genre and its variations* dominate the song selections.
About the artists, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry It is Madonna are in the TOP 5 of most added songs and artists, while Pabllo Vittar, Gloria Groove It is Anita are the most added Brazilian artists.
