Liam Gallagher says solo career is ‘boring as fuck’ and ‘I’d rather be in a band’
Liam Gallagher stated that a solo career is “boring as fuck” and that he would rather be “much more in a band.” Former Main Vocalist Oasis and Beady Eye, Gallagher has been working on a solo career for the past few years, but has revealed that he doesn’t like the idea of singing written for him by other people.
It’s boring as fuck, to be honest,” he told the MOJO. “This is not how it should be. I would much rather be in a band, all together. But as long as it sounds good, that’s all that matters.”
The third solo album by Gallagher,C’mon, You Know (2022), arrives on digital platforms on May 27. In the interview, the singer also talked about how he doesn’t think too much about the songs he makes, but is glad that fans find a deeper meaning to them.
about the track “More Power,” Gallagher stated, “I would not like to have more power. It’s just a song. I don’t want more power. I know who I am, I’m very happy with what I am. It was probably addressed to someone else. Maybe they want more power? I don’t know.”
The musician added: “I’m glad that other people delve into them, but for me a song is a song. I don’t think too much. If it sounds good and I’m fine when I sing it, then that’s fine with me. If it sounds forced, fuck it. I know a lot of people want this shit musebut I’m not interested.”
Gallagher will pass through Brazil with the album tour C’mon You Know in 2022. The presentations take place in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro on November 15th and 16th respectively.
