John Lennon’s voice has been recovered thanks to technology; “It’s all real and we’ve all played it,” says the musician
Paul McCartney social networks used to clarify the use of artificial intelligence on an unreleased recording of Beatles which will be released later this year, as revealed by the musician.
The singer first mentioned the song during an interview with the program Todayfrom the BBC Radio 4, on June 13. At that time, he said the voice of John Lennon it was retrieved via AI.
Already this Thursday 22, McCartney posted: “It’s been great to see such an exciting response to our next Beatles project. No one is more excited than us to share it with you later this year.”
“We have seen some confusion and speculation about this [a música]. There seems to be a lot of conjecture out there. I can’t say much at this stage, but to be clear, nothing has been created artificially or synthetically. It’s all true and we all touch it. We cleaned up some existing recordings, a process that took years.”
The singer concluded by saying that he hopes fans like the new project as much as he does and warned that he will have more news about the song’s release soon.

During the conversation with BBC Radio 4, McCartney said the producers used an old recording of John Lennon to extract his voice.
“It was a demo that John had that we worked on and we just finished it. We’re releasing it this year. We were able to take John’s voice and make it pure through this AI. Then we could mix the recording like normal we would,” he explained.
