Lil Nas X vented about prejudice and lack of visibility in the industry for being from the LGBTQ+ community
Lil Nax X went public to criticize the organization of the BETawards, who released the list of nominees this Wednesday, June 1. even with 3 smash hits in 2021, the singer was left out of the list of nominations in 2022.

the absence of Lil Nas X caught the attention of fans due to the success of the album MONTERO, launched in September 2021, period within the eligibility of the award. The album broke streaming records and remained at the top of the charts for over a week. Billboard.
The singer also commented on the music industry’s prejudice against black people who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
I feel that gay black people must fight to be seen in this world and even when we get to the top they ‘pretend’ that we are invisible.
The awards are designed to recognize African-American artists in music, acting, sports and other areas of entertainment. O BET Awards takes place on June 26, 2022, directly from Los Angeles, United States.
