‘Vampire’ is the first single from GUTS, an album that Olivia Rodrigo will release in 2023
Olivia Rodrigo officially started a new phase of her singing career. This Friday, the 30th, the artist released “vampire,” first single from the second studio album, titled GUTSand revealed how the song helped her with “feelings of regret and anger.”
In an Instagram post, Rodrigo took the opportunity to celebrate the release of the song and revealed some details about the composition process. “I made it with my talented and wonderful friend @dan_nigro last winter and created the music video with the amazing @petrafcollins,” he stated.
Writing this song helped me sort out a lot of feelings of regret, anger, and hurt.
In addition to the caption, the artist put some images in the post, including backstage of the music video for “vampire” and a snippet of the moment she wrote it. “It’s one of my favorite songs on the album and it was very cathartic to finish. I’m so glad it’s in your hands now and I hope it helps you deal with any bloodsuckers in your life. All my thanks forever,” she finished.
