Ms. Marvel’s Iman Vellani shares her thoughts on what the Young Avengers lineup in the MCU should look like

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is truly entering a new era, one that sees a wave of young heroes enter the fold. In the past year alone, the MCU has seen big names like Kate Bishop (Hawkeye), Billy and Tommy (Wiccan and Speed), and America Chavez. And there’s more to come, with Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) the latest to join the massive franchise. These new additions have led some fans to speculate that Marvel Studios are looking to introduce a team, although nothing has been confirmed yet. However, Vellani has pondered the matter and seems pretty sure who she would like to see part of the Young Avengers range .

One of the coolest things about Iman Vellani is that she’s been a fan of Marvel Comics and the MCU for years and has no problem giving her two cents in both continuities. So when I spoke to her during the Mrs. Wonder press conference, I had to ask your opinion on what the Young Avengers or Champions would be like in the cinematic universe. That said, he has enthusiastically listed some potential customers and one of them might surprise you:

Heart of stone. Easy. kate bishop. Why not? Spiderman? I feel it would be fun. America Chávez. We bring Sprite from Eternals. Nobody talks about her. I think she is great. And yes, is she human now? Can you get old? I guess you are still young. This movie confuses me sometimes [laughs].

They are definitely a solid team, although I would add The hawk and the winter soldier‘s Eli Bradley (known as Patriot in the comics). To be completely honest, Sprite wasn’t one of the first characters that came to my mind when thinking about the young superhero team. It’s really an intriguing choice but, as Iman Vellani hinted at, his future status is somewhat questionable. at the end of eternal, the cosmic being (played by Lia McHugh) has given up on his illusion-based abilities, allowing him to physically age. Despite this, there is always the possibility that she could join a team of young superheroes as a fighter (and she could also contribute their knowledge of different languages ).

Gossipify also reunited with Lia McHugh at the world premiere of Mrs. Wonder, where we asked him how he would feel joining any kind of team that includes Kamala Khan. The actress seemed interested in the idea and she thought about how Sprite could fit into this group:

My God. It would be great. Which would be great. I mean, all the luck I could have with Marvel, honestly. But yeah, be part of a new Avengers [team], he would be quite sick. … Sprite is a little overbearing, I would say, a little flamboyant. I do not know. I’d like to think I might be a bit of a leader. It would be great.

From where I am, it seems like Marvel Studios are laying the groundwork for some sort of team involving their young benefactors. In the next year, the Heart of stone the series will arrive on Disney + Yes Ant-Man and the Vespa: Quantumania will give fans a teenager, and rephrased, Cassie Lang , which may or may not be converted to Height. Among the rise of these newcomers, MCU guru Kevin Feige responded to rumors about Young Avengers . The seasoned producer has neither confirmed nor denied such a thing, but said the potential for characters like these is “infinite”.

Like so many people, I look forward to the arrival of the Young Avengers or MCU Champions. However, in the meantime, we’re looking forward to Kamala Khan’s debut in Mrs. Wonder on which criticism was raised till now. It may be too early to tell, but Iman Vellani’s protagonist could end up becoming a leader if he joins a team of teenagers.

Mrs. Wonder which will air (opens in a new tab) with a Disney + subscription , opens June 8. Make sure you keep an eye on Gossipify TV program 2022 to stay informed about upcoming MCU shows.
