Taylor Swift leads with eight nominations; Anitta competes with “Funk Rave” in the Best Latin Clip category
The list of contestants for the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs) was announced on Tuesday, September 8. The event will be held on September 12 at the Prudential CenterIn New Jersey.
Taylor Swift leads the list with eight nominations, followed by SZA, which has six nominations. Doja Cat, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith and Kim Petras are tied with five nominations.
And we have the Brazilians competing. Annita competes in the Best Latin Clip category, with the song funky raves. The singer was the first Brazilian solo artist to take home a VMA, in 2022, for Best Latin Music, for Envolver. See the complete list of candidates.
