The brothers’ deaths were confirmed in an Instagram post; Tay hasn’t posted on social media since 2018

Since then, the artiste has gone through some family disputes, such as a custody battle between his parents. In 2021, her brother Jason even created a funding campaign on the portal GoFundMeclaiming that Tay’s father allegedly abused his daughter physically and mentally.
Lil Tay hasn’t posted on his social media in 5 years.
“During this time of immense sadness, we kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this overwhelming grief, as the circumstances surrounding the deaths of Claire and her brother are still under investigation,” the statement, purportedly released by the family, read.
“Claire will forever be in our hearts, her absence leaves an irreplaceable void that will be felt by all who knew and loved her.”
