Saw: cast, synopsis and where to watch all horror movies

With the announcement of the tenth film in the Saw franchise expected to be released next month, if you enjoyed the other films you might want to rewatch the entire sequel. Find out now where to watch all Saw movies and get ready for the next one: Saw X. One of the platforms you can use to watch the franchise is Prime Video.

The film’s director Kevin Greutert said during Midsummer Scream 2023 in the United States that this will be the most epic and longest, but did not reveal the exact length. Since the third film is 1h and 48 minutes long, place your bets. This time, the storyline takes place between Saw I and II and was filmed in Mexico. The Brazil premiere will take place on September 28, one day before the United States and will see John Kramer again played by Tobin Bell.

1. I Saw (2004)

The American film Saw was released in 2004 in both feature and short versions, with initial direction from James Wan, Toni Bell plays John Kramer, or “Jigsaw” and stars actors Danny Glover, Cary Elwes and Leigh Whannell. It is the story of two men who wake up in a bathroom and then find themselves trapped in a deadly game in which, in order to survive, they will have to unravel the pieces of a puzzle, carefully assembled by a serial killer. 2. I Saw II (2005)

The following year, the second film in the series brings police officer Eric investigating a murder he suspects was planned by Jigsaw, the serial killer who plays deadly games with his victims. Following the course of investigations and clues, he discovers several people trapped in this scenario of bloody competition. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, the cast includes Donnie Wahlberg, Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. Score: 16.

3. I Saw III (2006)

Now Jigsaw has an apprentice, she is Amanda and she will continue to manipulate and kill through increasingly complex and bloody games, terrorizing and shocking the police and the community. Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman again, starring Alan Van Sprang, Angus Macfadyen, Bahar Soomekh, Debra McCabe, Dina Meyer, J. LaRose, Kim Roberts, Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell. Recordings of the first three films in the United States. Score: 18

4. I Saw IV (2007)

Here the whole plot unfolds from a tape pulled from Jigsaw’s stomach. Once again, all wrapped up in a sinister new game concocted by a sick mind. Detective Hoffman must succeed where all others have failed. In the cast Costas Mandylor, Scott Gordon-Patterson and Tobin Bell. Directed again by Darren Lynn Bousman. Registered in the United States and Canada. Vote 18.

5. I Saw 5 (2008)

Well, in that film Jigsaw will have a successor and his accomplice will start a new series of torture games. The police investigate the crimes with Officer Strahm. Directed here is by Kevin Greutert, and the cast includes Costas Mandylor, Mark Rolston, Betsy Russell and Tobin Bell. Registered in the United States and Canada. Vote 18.

6. I Saw 6 (2009)

Here the follower of Jigsaw continues the horrible games, but this time he will try a new interpretation of his master’s cruel teachings. Directed by Kevin Greutert, it stars Costas Mandylor, Tobin Bell, Mark Rolston and Betsy Russell. It was filmed in the USA, Canada, Germany and the UK Rating 18.

7. Saw (2010)

In this film, the character Bobby Daggen (Sean Patrcik Flanery) releases a DVD and book to recount his experience with Jigsaw’s traps, from which he escaped. So he brings together a group of survivors to record a TV show where everyone gives testimony about the horror they experienced. Meanwhile, new deaths occur again and intimidated by Hoffman (Costas Mandylor), Jigsaw’s wife Jill (Betsy Russell) decides to tell the police the truth. Directed by Kevin Greutert. Registered in Canada. Rated 18. It was supposed to be the last, but the producers changed their minds, as you will read below.

8. Sega: Puzzles (2017)

A string of murders points to John Kramer (Tobin Bell), the killer known as Jigsaw. The problem is that in this case the police are looking for a ghost, which doesn’t make any sense. But the Saw film series doesn’t really care about making sense, does it? The series has always been successful at the box office and will now have a final episode. Directed by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig, with Matt Passmore, Tobin Bell, Callum Keith Rennie. It was also filmed in Canada. Vote 18.

We also remember that in 2009 the game was released:for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The responsible developer was Zombie Studios. In the year 2021, the movie was released, also part of the Saw franchise. The film is directed by Darren Lynn Bousman and stars Chris Rock, Max Minghella and Samuel L. Jackson. The film tells the story of a detective who investigates a series of brutal murders imitating the methods of the famous serial killer Jigsaw.

The new film and tenth in the series, will be set between the events of the first and second and will follow John Kramer (Tobin Bell) in his search for a miracle cure for his cancer, until he decides to test a dangerous experimental cure in Mexico . . The director returns to being Kevin Greutert and promises much more suspense and fear.
