Singer has released three funk-focused tracks, aiming to reach the international market, with English and Spanish lyrics
During the press conference to launch her new work ‘Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story’ this morning on Friday 18th, the singer Annita he was fearless towards the haters. To her, gringos who don’t like her new songs have no good taste.
“I’m doing my truth and if they don’t like it, it’s because they don’t have refined taste,” Anitta said, according to the newspaper. Folha de São Paulo.
There are three songs involved in the new project: ‘Funk Rave’, released in June this year, ‘Casi Casi’, which won a video clip this Friday, and ‘Used to Be’. In all of them, despite the exaltation of funk, English and Spanish are the predominant languages, further demonstrating that the international market is their focus at the moment.
With these three songs, Anitta will be able to feel a thermometer for her next album, which should be released next year and should emphasize funk again. The singer said she will bring a “flashback” feel, bringing back traces of the songs she composed early in her career.
“It’s mine, with my face. I’ve released a lot of ‘stunts’, so it was time to release something myself. I don’t care if there will be participation or not,” he said.
