MD Chief is nominated at the BET Awards as Best International New Artist

MD Chief entered the competition for the prize of International Breakthrough Artist of BET Awards 2022. In the previous year, MC Dricka competed in the same category.

The rapper was the only Brazilian nominated for the category that celebrates black excellence in music, competing with names such as ayra starr, Cleo Sol and Young Stunna.

The artist began his career in the battles of rhyme in Rio de Janeiro and achieved national fame with songs about elegance, sophistication and empowerment, scoring the single “King Lacoste”a partnership with DomLaike which accumulates 73M views on YouTube and 54M streams on Spotify.

In addition to MD Chief, ludmilla also represents the Brazil at this year’s awards, competing for the statuette of Best International Artist. The award has 19 other categories, in which doja cat dominates, with six nominations.

The awards are designed to recognize African-American artists in music, acting, sports and other areas of entertainment. O BET Awards takes place on June 26, 2022, directly from Los Angeles, United States.
