Alok talks about trawlers in an exhibition in Copacabana: “Problem of public policy”; clock

Alok denies fake news of alleged political speech at show

The musician also took advantage of the video to deny the fake news circulating on social networks regarding an alleged political speech he would have given during the show in Copacabana. According to the DJ, the shared record is about a performance by Alok Rock in Rio in 2019.

“They are politically exploiting my image to inflame a discussion that doesn’t belong to me,” he commented. The DJ said at the time he gave a speech “based on Jesus’ teaching to love your neighbor, not to hate and that the meaning of life is to love.”

“Explaining love is sometimes very complex. There is an easier way to explain it, [porque] we know what love is not: hate, violence, indifference, prejudice,” he said. “So just take away all that and what’s left is love. And that’s what I said.”

At the end of the speech, according to Alok, people started booing the former president Jair Messiah Bolsonaro (PL). He, however, claimed he did not induce them to do so. “Not only in this event, but in many others that I have attended, there have sometimes been demonstrations (sic) against and sometimes in favor of [do ex-presidente]. But who am I to make value judgments?”

The musician went on to say that he performs to “bring joy to the people in attendance” and that he has fans from all political spectrums. “I hate controversy and didn’t want people to exploit my image politically,” he said.

Finally, Alok showed the facility of what was called the ‘show of the century’ is dismantled and praised the production and promotion of the event. “It is a project that ends up bringing many direct and indirect jobs, it also moves the city’s economy a lot.
