The first edition of The Town festival starts this Saturday (02) and the city of São Paulo is preparing to receive big stars of international music, such as Demi Lovato and Bruno Mars. But with them also comes a long list of requirements that aren’t always easy to meet.
One of the more surprising requests on the request list is Post Malone. The singer repeated requests from last year, when he was the protagonist of Rock In Rio. Among these, a beer pong table, a very popular game in American universities, which consists of trying to hit a ping pong ball in a glass of beer, and Jelly Belly Fish, a fish-shaped gummy candy. The candy is not sold in Brazil, neither in the traditional version nor in the edition requested by the artist.
This year, however, what scared production the most was quantity. “He comes with a huge band and the order has nearly tripled. Tequila, used to be two, now there’s five. I ordered 400 glasses to do the beer joke. The band orders a lot of little things too, like ‘ beef jerky’, which is that American dried meat,” said producer Ingrid Berger, in an interview with Folha de São Paulo.
“There is no Drake in life, a Justin Bieber, the one who gives more work and asks for much more,” he stressed.
