Alok broke the record for laser machines used in Brazil
After putting on a remarkable show in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Copacabana Palace, Alok delivered a performance to match the The Townlast Sunday, the 3rd. The presentation had the participation of Zeeba, a choreography of drones and fireworks. The highlight, however, was the laser show.
Alok broke the record for laser machines used in Brazil. In total, there were 42: “Faced with the imposing scenography 40.5m high and 95m wide, Alok wanted to respond in the same proportion and broke the record for the number of laser machines used in Brazil, a total of 42, all approved by the fire department and regulated on an axis above the spectators”, says a note sent to the press.

tame Impala
There is no information about the number of lasers brought by the tame Impala in this year’s edition of Lollapalooza. However, the company responsible for supplying the machines revealed in 2019 that Kevin Parker was taking 32 lasers to the Glastonbury. The number is the same as promised by Alok at Lollapalooza 2022.
In an interview with Long Live Vinyl, parker confessed that he wanted to buy more lasers, but was advised against it. “Lasers constantly get an upgrade, and if I bought a bunch of lasers, next year something even cooler would come out that I’d want to buy too. But it wouldn’t make sense to buy them, because what would I do with the others I bought? Also, the lenses break and we don’t know how to fix them”, declared the artist.
Cellular lasers and cameras
In 2022, a fan claimed that the concert’s lasers Alok on Lollapalooza damaged her phone’s camera. This really could happen, but the DJ said that the structure was set up thinking about not hitting lenses or even the spectators’ eyes. So the lasers are projected above the audience. Iberê Thenório explained in World manual how the equipment works:
