A space dedicated to food during The Town festival caught fire in the early hours of this Friday (8/9), with no reasons yet known, at the Autódromo de Interlagos, in the south of São Paulo.
Firefighters said the flames broke out around 4am and were put out at 5.30am. The space’s wood and plastic structure was compromised, but no one was injured in the fire.
The Civil Police have yet to ascertain the circumstances of the accident, which may have occurred due to a pan with oil. The case will be investigated by the 48th DP Cidade Dutra.
The city festival has no shows this Friday (9/8) and will resume shows on Saturday (9/9) with performances by Pitty, Foo Fighters, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Garbage.
To date, the event’s press office has not released any official statement on the fire.
