Box office forecasts for the opening weekend are over $100 million
After breaking the record for the most profitable tour in history, having been credited with pulling the hotel sector out of the hole caused by the pandemic, having been cited by the FED as one of those responsible for the recovery of the national economy… Taylor Swift has announced that fans will also be able to watch his show in theaters.
And in the best King of Midas style (everything he touches turns to gold):
- • Sold $26 million in tickets in the first 3 hours of pre-sales on the AMC network alone;
- • All tickets for 250 Imax theaters were sold out;
- • Placed in the top 10 best pre-sales of all time by Fandango;
- • It even forced Universal to postpone the release of the film “The Exorcist.”
The projected weekend box office gross is over $100 million, a feat achieved by just five films this year.
The best of all? Swift did everything in absolute secrecy. The other studios in the industry didn’t know this either and there were no leaks, so no one shied away from buying tickets to their 70,000 capacity shows. Classroom!
