Lary on the challenge of composing for other artists: “We have entered another world”

Experiencing a great moment in her career, singer and songwriter Lary has stood out on the music scene. With a history of successful compositions for names like Juliette, Marina Sena, IZA, Rebeca, Pocah, Lexa and moreover, it reveals that behind all the magic of fantastic writing shotsthe challenges are many, especially when artists are physically absent.

“It is always very challenging to compose for someone else, especially when they are not with me. I have written for many artists while I am with them. Especially in pop, it often happens that artists are present at song camps. This is what happened with the work I did with Juliette, with IZA, with Priscilla Alcântara, among others. It’s really nice to be together with an artist, because we have the opportunity to exchange ideas, understand the situation he’s going through at the moment, what he wants talk and what you don’t want”reveals.

According to the composer, one of the strategies she uses to write songs when artists are absent from projects is to listen to what they have already recorded and analyze their social networks to understand how they express themselves. For Larrythis helps to get inside the artist’s head and create lyrics that reflect their identity and message.

“We have to enter another world to make sense”says the artist.

However, he also revealed that he is able to separate his work completely. By composing for her most diverse musical styles, she ensures that each experience allows her to further explore her artistic versatility, even if these songs are not intended for her recording.

“There’s a lot of stuff that I write for other artists that I would never record and I still think it’s amazing. For example, I found a group of people that do country songs, which are songs that don’t fit into pop, or into my career, but I love doing it. Maybe I love doing these genres much more, which I know I will never record, because they represent an outlet”declares.
