Dove Cameron took the first statuette of the night; check the list of winners in real time
The awaited MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) of 2023 takes place on the night of this Tuesday, September 12th, at Prudential Center, in New Jersey. Commanded by Nicki Minaj For the second year in a row, the award set a record number of nominees in this edition, with 35 artists in the running.
please note that Taylor Swift leads this year’s nominations with eight nominations, followed by SZA (six), Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo It is Sam Smith (five each) and BLACKPINK, Diddy It is Shakira (four each).
To rock the night, a star-studded lineup provided the night’s musical performances, including: Måneskin, STRAY KIDS, TOMORROW (TXT), Anita, Demi Lovato, Olivia Rodrigo, Shakira and more. Check out the full list here!
In the list of honors, Shakira will receive the coveted trophy Video Vanguard Awardan award that recognizes the artist’s contributions to music videos. Sean “Diddy” Combs will receive the prestigious Global Icon Awardperforming live on the stage of VMA for the first time since 2005.
