As Black Consciousness Month approaches, the Powers! The Prize Now announces its third edition. Hosted by Mynd, the awards ceremony takes place on the same day November 27 In St. Paul and, just like previous events, celebrates the black personalities who stood out most during the year. In 2023 the awarded artist will be the singer Alcione.
Composer, multi-instrumentalist and owner of a powerful voice, Alcyone is one of the most recognized samba dancers in the country, with more than 8 million records sold worldwide. Born in São Luís do Maranhão and with more than 50 years of careeris a reference to a strong and talented black woman who, from an early age, stood out, becoming an icon of Brazilian popular music.

The third edition of Powers! The Prize Now will be presented by Preta Gil, Thelminha, Luana Xavier, Yuri Marçal, Tia Má AND João Pedrosawho will share the stage to announce the winners of the 16 categoriesin addition to the shows prepared specifically for the big evening.
