Millie Bobby Brown won the hearts of the film industry with his performance as Eleven in Stranger Things (2016) – but being in the spotlight wasn’t the actress’ only plan.

In an interview with Woman’s Hour from BBC Radio 4 to promote his first book Nineteen Stepsthe actress discussed her other professional passions if she hadn’t gone into playwriting (via NME).

A great passion of mine, if I hadn’t followed the path I did, would have been working in a nursing home. I love the history of older people and the stories they tell, even if they are completely made up, which sometimes they are.

Inspired by his grandmother Ruth, who passed away in November 2020 from Alzheimer’s, the historical novel by Brown is described as an “epic story of love, loss and secrets”. The book follows an 18-year-old woman named Nellie Morris who encounters a “tragic accident” during an air raid in the midst of World War II.

Brown should star in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things – and the actress says she is prepared to say goodbye to the iconic character Eleven. Filming for the final season was postponed in May this year due to strikes in Hollywood.

Still shrouded in mystery, at the end of April, the brothers Duffer will give the first updates on the plot of the fifth season. In a post made on social media, they revealed that the fifth and final season of the series will have a horror connection.
