Bassist Mingau, of Ultraje a Rigor, opened his eyes last Wednesday, the 20th, but there are no signs of consciousness, the hospital reported. The musician remains in the intensive care unit (ICU) and is in the process of being removed from mechanical ventilation.

Patient Rinaldo Amaral (“Mingau”) remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit, having woken up this Wednesday (20/9) with his eyes open. The patient is without sedation and is being “weaned” from mechanical ventilation. The situation is considered stable”, we read in last Wednesday’s bulletin.
The musician’s sedation was completely removed last Sunday, the 17th. Mingau was shot in the head in Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, during a business trip.
