“It’s better than we could have imagined,” Isabella wrote; she asked for patience and understanding and recalled that ‘the trauma is great, recent and neurological’
Mingau, from Ultraje in Rigor, opened his eyes last Wednesday, the 20th, but there is still no sign of awareness or interaction. Second Isabelladaughter of Mingau, is showing improvement, but it is a slow process.
“He is fine. Every day he surpasses himself, thanks to God and his strength. He is improving and is better than we could imagine. But we must keep in mind that this is a serious, recent and neurological trauma,” wrote his daughter of the bassist, 27 years old, on his social networks.
“So the key word is patience. I have to learn this the hard way. The process is slow.”
“The worst is over. Regardless of what you believe, it is indisputable that this is a miracle,” he said. “I believe in healing and fully restoring his life. There were so many things that could have gone wrong and went right, more than we imagined, that I have no doubt that everything is going as well as possible.”
He also thanked all the prayers and asked for understanding from fans, who are eager for answers. “It’s really bad to be in this situation without knowing what’s going to happen. But if it’s bad for you, imagine it for me.”
Isabella turned 27 last week, when her father was already hospitalized. “Today is not about me, nor about receiving material gifts. It’s about patience, resilience, support… it’s about waiting for you,” she wrote on the date.
The musician remains in the intensive care unit (ICU) and is in the process of being removed from mechanical ventilation.
