Keith Richards also criticized rap; The Rolling Stones release new album in October
Keith Richardsof The Rolling Stones, considers pop music to be “crap”. “I like listening to people playing instruments. That’s it, I don’t like listening to music from retail stores, as they are known, what you hear in elevators,” he told The Telegraph (via Loudwire).
I don’t want to start complaining about pop music… It’s always been rubbish. This is the point. They do it in the easiest and cheapest way possible and so it always sounds the same, there’s little feeling in it.
Rap was also not spared from the criticism of Richards: “I don’t really like hearing people yell at me and tell me this is music, aka rap. I can listen to enough of that without having to leave the house.”
When it’s about Beatleshowever, Keith is capable of raving praise for the band. He even confessed that John Lennon could be part of Rolling Stonesas well as George Harrison. “We were of the same generation and loved the same type of music. When we heard The Beatles For the first time, we were relieved to know that there were other bands in England on the same path as us”, he explained.
In October, a former Beatle will be able to realize the scenario imagined by the guitarist: Paul McCartney will be on one of the tracks on the band’s new album Richardsin “Bite My Head Off”.
