Boyband announced reunion to release new music, the first in more than two decades
Formed in 1995, the ‘NSync quickly became one of the most popular boybands of that time. Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass It is Joey Fatone They stood out not only for their precise vocals and interpretations of bubblegum compositions, but also for their mastery of choreography and a versatility of genres that led them to move between pop, electronic, R&B and hip hop.
Interestingly, however, the members think that they would not work individually. The group format was ideal for them. At least that’s what they said in a recent interview with Hot Ones (via AV Club), in order to promote their reunion and the single “Better Place”.
At one point in the interview, Chris Kirkpatrick, responsible for putting together the boyband, pointed out that there are other groups in the same configuration where all the members are great. This is not the case with ‘NSync.
“I think the crazy part about it is that you have a lot of these bands that have been formed, really good bands like One Direction, but there are five guys who are incredible singers and great soloists. So, there are songs that you kind of ‘fight’ like: ‘where will each of them go?’. We already kind of knew we were terrible at singing certain things.”
Considering his group’s situation, Kirkpatrick understands that the best solution was to work within each member’s comfort zone. This turned out to be the secret to success.

“We just took our places and knew our territory, you know? Like, I know I would do treble, Justin and JC would do lead vocals, Joey would be on midrange, and Lance would be on bass. It was a lot easier since we started with one sound instead of five amazing vocalists.”
The best songs
Still during the interview, the members selected “Mount Rushmore” of the best songs from ‘NSync. Naturally, only four songs could be chosen. The options were:
– “Tearin’ Up My Heart”;
– “Bye Bye Bye”;
– “It’s Gonna Be Me”;
– “I Thought She Knew”.
