Celebrity Chatbots: Don’t be scared if they talk to you

Celebrity Chatbots: Don’t be scared if they talk to you

Soon available on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and everywhere

You will interact with artificial intelligence on a daily basis. This is inevitable. From now on it is more inevitable and closer, because the Meta announced the hiring by a team of 28 celebrities who will act as “inspiration” for their chatbots.

Mark Zuckerberg himself took the stage to show the news and interact with Snoop Dogg. They are very famous people in the internet world, such as the TikToker Charli D’Amelio and the YouTuber Mr. Beast. And people who were very famous even before the explosion of social media, such as American football star Tom Brady and the famous professional Paris Hilton.

The curious thing is that these celebrities will help us in very specific matters. Brady will be a sports guru. But Snoop Dogg will be a gaming specialist, a “dungeon master” of role-playing games. And tennis player Naomi Osaka will be an anime superfan!

For starters, these chatbots will be text-based, in the format we’re all familiar with. But their images have already been captured and Mark Zuckerberg promises video interaction soon.

Considering the user base of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, it is inevitable that we will all soon be living with “Celebrity Chatbots”. It is foreseeable that for a large mass of users this could be the first close interaction with AI.

How long will it be before we have Brazilian versions, created by Meta or another company? For example with Larissa Manoela, Whindersson Nunes or Vinicius Junior? The most likely answer is “before we know it.”
