Find out what to expect from the shows Evanescence in Brazil:

Setlist

While Argentina and Mexico were given the same setlist, Chile heard “What You Want” instead of “Made Of Stone”. Taking into account the songs selected for the latest shows in Latin America, it is very likely that fans will watch seven tracks live from the Fallen. The 2003 album completed two decades this year and, to celebrate, the Evanescence released reissues.

Furthermore, in early October, the group released the demo version of “Bring Me To Life”. The initial idea for the song did not include the famous rap by Paul McCoyof 12 Stones, but the record company pressured the band to add a male voice. Even reluctantly, Amy Lee had to comply with the request. In any case, “Bring Me To Life” raised the Evanescence to fame and will be responsible for finalizing the setlist for the performances.

The Open Door (2006), which includes “Call Me When You’re Sober” and “Lithium”, may have six of the 13 songs played on Brazilian stages. The band’s self-titled album will be honored with just three tracks. The big star of the next few nights will be the most recent release — The Bitter Truth —, which will appear with nine songs distributed throughout the performance.

Evanescence’s biggest show

The subtitle may seem like an exaggeration, but the band’s official profile stated that the show in São Paulo could be the biggest ever performed by the band. Evanescence. The presentation is scheduled for October 21st and will take place at Allianz Parque. “SÃO PAULO This looks like our biggest solo show yet,” they wrote on Twitter. “There are still tickets left, so get yours for a once-in-a-lifetime show.”

Fans rescued a post in which Amy Lee expressed regret for not having recorded anything to remember his visit to São Paulo in 2012: “São Paulo, that night was one of my favorite shows of all time. My only regret was that I wanted to have it recorded! If anyone has a good video , please send the link.”

Therefore, connecting the dots — in some way —, part of the public believes that, as this is the biggest show in the world, Evanescencethe band will record the performance in São Paulo.

Although the city has gained a lot of prominence for these reasons, it is important to bring attention to Olinda, the only one that escapes the south of Brazil. There are only a few tickets left on sale at the time of publication of this article. The performance on October 28th will conclude the tour.

Album in the midst of mourning

The Bitter Truth was composed during the period that went through the pandemic and the mourning experienced by Tim McCord It is Amy Lee. “We’ve all been through a lot since we last saw each other. We continue to go through a lot. But if there’s anything I’ve learned from this period, it’s that life is precious, our time is precious. We don’t know what we’ll have tomorrow, but we know what we have now, right here, today,” said the vocalist during a break from one song to another at the festival Novarockin 2022.

McCord lost her daughter in February 2020. Alyssa, the guitarist’s oldest, took her own life at 16. The young woman’s mother reported the death through a screenshot of her cell phone’s notepad. “The hardest thing I’ve ever written… I feel the need to post this because not everyone knows… and people keep messaging me like everything is normal,” she began.

“On Sunday, my eldest daughter, Alyssa, took his own life. She was 16… She is my world and my world is gone… I don’t have moments like this very often, where I put my soul and my heartbreaking grief aside to make some sense.”

Danielle McCord continued: “So while I have this brief lucidity. This brief courage… I’m using it to inform everyone. And I need everyone to know that I can’t answer any questions. I can’t function enough to read my messages let alone answer them. I’m sorry. I’m trying my best right now. I just need everyone to know, because they’ve been talking to me like everything’s okay, and now it seems like nothing will ever be okay again.”

The guitarist also spoke out, saying in an Instagram post that “I would do anything for another day, another hour, another minute, with Alyssa.”

Amy Lee lost his brother in 2018, many years after his sister’s death Bonniewho passed away at the age of 3, in 1987. “Hello” and “Like You” are compositions dedicated to her. Robert He was also the artist’s younger brother. He suffered from epilepsy and was 24 years old when he died. At the end of a farewell text published on Facebook, Amy left the link to a playlist dedicated to him.

Today I said goodbye to one of my best friends in life, one of my favorite people on earth, my irreplaceable little brother, Robby. If you knew my family, you would know him. He was the best of us, everyone’s favorite, our hero. He inspired and influenced so many people. He was incredibly kind, loving, caring, generous, witty, funny, selfless. He loved music. He loved animals. He loved people. More than anything, he loved us, and he always showed it to us. Robby has struggled with severe epilepsy since he was 7, and we always knew our time together was precious — he loved it like every day could be his last. He always told us he loved us, whenever we were together. May we all live like this — don’t waste time. I love him more than I could put into words and I will miss him every day for the rest of my life. He will always be a huge part of me. Sweet dreams, Rob. I know we will be together again in heaven. And I will see you in my dreams.
