The North American band Green Day announced this Tuesday (24) that it will release its new album Saviors in the day January 19, 2024 for the Warner Recordsthrough Rerun. To warm up the news, the trio formed by Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt AND Three Cool has made the new single available on digital platforms The American dream is killing me.
The American dream is killing mewhich also had its official music video directed by Brendan Walter AND Ryan Baxley in the middle of a filmed zombie apocalypse Los Angeles (USA), was one of the last tracks written and recorded by Green day to the new album.
“As soon as we finished we immediately said to each other: ‘Okay, this will be the first'”, said the singer Billie Joe Armstrongwhich describes the new song as “a look at how the traditional American dream isn’t working for a lot of people. It’s actually hurting a lot of people.”
Registered in LondonTO EnglandAND Los Angeles (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA), Saviors is the latest powerful collaboration between Green day and Grammy-winning producer, Rob Cavallowhose notable previous work with the band includes two of the band’s most iconic albums, Dookiesince 1994, e Idiot American, 2004.
The album arrives just before Dookie’s 30th anniversary and the celebrations have already begun with the release of a huge deluxe edition of the album and a surprise show in Las Vegas, where the band played the album to a crowd of super fan, with tickets sold out.
