The body of gospel singer and pastor Sara Mariano, 38, was found on Friday 27th in Dias D’Ávila, near Salvador. Her disappearance occurred on Tuesday 24th, while she was going to an event in Camaçari. The information comes from The globe.

The remains were found charred and were identified by Ederlan Mariano, her husband and producer. A ring near the location of the body aided identification.

Sara was a notable personality on the gospel scene. She and Ederlan had a daughter and together they ran “TV Shalom”, a channel focused on evangelical content. Sara also had an active profile on Instagram, with a base of more than 50 thousand followers.

Sara’s last recording dates back to the night of Tuesday 24th, leaving for a religious appointment. Security footage shows Sara leaving her residence, but the driver of the vehicle remains unknown.

The news caused a stir on social media. Followers expressed their sadness and concern in the comments on the singer’s posts. “She’s singing my anthem. My God, bring her back alive,” one wrote.

The investigation is still ongoing at the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
