A fact that caught attention, however, is that the post was deleted on the same day, with no new information given to the public – the same happened when Craig Jones. Some fans speculated that the note was nothing more than a marketing ploy to announce a new mask for Jay.
We would like to thank Jay Weinberg for your dedication and passion over the last ten years. No one can replace the original sound, style or energy of Joey Jordisonbut Jay honored the parts of Joey and contributed to the last three albums and we, the band, and the fans appreciate that
The band claimed that βa creative decisionβ had to be made to part ways with the 33-year-old drummer. Jay Weinberg played his last show with Slipknot last Friday (3) at the festival Hell & Heaven in Toluca, Mexico.
