Singer Shakira caused a stir at the Latin Grammys on Thursday night (11/17). She won Song of the Year for “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” a song that pokes fun at her betrayal and settling scores with her ex-husband Gerard Piqué, a former footballer for Spanish national team.

Finally, the Colombian also received the trophy from another footballer, Sergio Ramos, Piquet’s former teammate in the Spanish national team, and in her speech she made a suggestion to her ex-husband:

“What happiness! I want to dedicate this award to my children, Milan and Sasha, because I promised them that I will be happy. I promised them that they will have a mother who will laugh with all their laughter, because they deserve it,” he began. “So, right now, I’m thinking about what’s to come, the songs I’ll write, the tours I’ll do, the audience I’ll share it with. Because, as a friend said, nothing remains of the past, we only remember the future” , he added.

The award was a historic win for Shakira, who became the first artist to win the Latin Grammy for Song of the Year in three different decades. The first time was in 2006, with the song “La Tortura”, and the second ten years later, with the song “La Bicicleta”.
