Live Nation Brasil took a stand after the death of a fan during Taylor Swift’s concert in Rio de Janeiro
Ana Clara Benevides Machadoaged just 23, passed away during a performance Taylor Swift this Friday, 17th, in Rio de Janeiro. As a result, the Minister of Justice Flavio Dino created an ordinance — with immediate effect — that allows water to enter events such as the Swift.
Later, the producer responsible for the show, T4F (Time For Fun), spoke out, announcing a series of changes. These include:
- new free water distribution points;
- entry into the stadium permitted with sealed glasses of water and sealed processed food, with no limitation on items per person;
- reinforced medical care structure, totaling 08 available medical stations, 08 ambulances and 08 mobile ICUs.

Not to be outdone, Live Nation, the producer that organizes the RBDalso took a stance, highlighting that the entry of water was always allowed during the events produced:

Attention, fans of RBD! We remind you that, as in all Live Nation Brasil shows, the public is allowed to bring cups or plastic water bottles into the stadiums. In addition, we distribute free water at the entrances and inside the stadiums.
To enjoy the show in the best possible way, be sure to hydrate, especially given the huge heatwave we are experiencing.
In practice, however, internet users report that the latest shows produced by Live Nation in Brazil have not obeyed the rule. They say that the producer instructed the event organizers to ask the public to dispose of water before entering the stadiums.
Lie, yesterday me and @julianasense we went to the show and at the entrance they were making everyone throw their water away

Liars! I went to RBD’s first show in SP and they made me throw my water bottle in the trash before entering

If this is really true, the magazine’s staff has other information. They always ask me if I don’t have water, making it very clear that it can’t go in. 😒

Live Nation also established the opposite of what it recently published on Instagram by displaying a banner with a rule that includes “food or drinks purchased outside the event” among the objects prohibited from entry.
It’s really nice to post this on social media, but arriving at the stadium and having this poster (this photo was in Morumbi do RBD) and the magazine throwing away our food and water 👍 pic.twitter.com/TkFiSx0Z1g
