Singer Thalita Pertuzatti, known as the “Brazilian Whitney Houston” when she was a finalist on “The Voice Brasil” in 2012, cried on social media when she said she had sold only 11 of 1,400 available tickets for a show in Rio de Janeiro, January, scheduled for next Saturday (25/11).
“This is the appeal of a desperate Brazilian singer. And here’s the point: for a few days I’ve been promoting a show I did for Brazilian soul music and I sold 11 tickets. And this scares me a lot because, as everyone knows me, I’m the ‘Brazilian Whitney.’ But at the end of the day, I’m Brazilian,” she began.
“Everything that was done in this project was done with every penny I had, they weren’t extra cents, no. I had to give up a lot of things: I don’t travel, I don’t walk. Sometimes, on “On the road, I don’t I don’t even drink water. I still think that R$2 is something, an investment in my career because we pay for everything,” he continued.
Then she returned to the public interest circle. “Eleven tickets for 1,400 seats were sold. And, surprisingly, the ticket is not expensive. In fact, they only cost R$ 25. I don’t have any sponsorship from anyone,” he said, revealing that the musicians rehearsed for free and his aunt was preparing the clothes for the presentation. She also revealed that she had incurred a debt of R$7,000 to perform the show.
“I’m not here waiting for things to fall from the sky. I’m on the streets, active, and making things happen. I decided to share it here because I need your support. […] Maybe you can’t go to the event, but your neighbor can,” Thalita added in the video.
The outburst was published on Friday evening (17/11), but on Saturday afternoon (18/11), she returned to say that the number of tickets sold for the event had increased. She thanked her followers for their support.
