With high self-esteem and ready to present the elements that imply his transition into a new era, Lou Garcia re-emerges with a powerful vibe in the single The eyes of the lionin collaboration with VKMac.
Available from today on digital platforms, the song, whose production was directed by Gustavo Schirmer, features the artist’s signature indie style, but at the same time embraces trap. Furthermore, in the instrumental part there is a special emphasis on the Brazilian sound, symbolized by the use of the cavaquinho.
To celebrate the arrival of the new phase, the project incorporated hitherto unexplored visual aspects Lou, appearing feline in a more vibrant and bold music video, characterized by intense gazes and sensuality. The video, directed by Theo Calhauis available on the singer’s official YouTube channel.
For the singer, the purpose of the clip was to illustrate her inner transformation, bringing warm colors and striking body expression. As a result, the visual concept began to portray a sunny, sexy and powerful vibe: “The whole clip was inspired by this, and also by the new era,” take up again.
The launch of The eyes of the lion happens later Lou having gone through the difficult but necessary stages of her emotional healing process, represented by the intense songs of her debut album, Karumfull of dark tones that interpreted the anguish of Generation Z Now, however, as the page turns to a new chapter in her story, the singer who touched the hearts of her fans, enchanting them with her drama, is able to see herself as a priority in her life.
“I feel like all my compositions are very much about what I feel at the moment. And ‘KARUMA’ represented one of those phases. But I feel like today I’m no longer in the same vibe of the feelings I had at that moment. ‘KARUMA’,” says the singer, who also adds 23 years on the same date as The eyes of the lion comes into the world.
In terms of the audience’s identification with music in general, Lou believes that conveying authenticity in the work is the most important point: “I’ve always done my best, and to the limit, to try to talk about everything I feel in the songs, because I know that the more real you are in your lyrics, the more people can relate,” underlines the artist.
With the new single, Lou shows that instead of continuing to put someone else on a pedestal, she herself deserves to be in this position: “I think this is also very important for this question of self-esteem. And today I feel more confident in myself”, explains.
Lou was present at every stage of the song’s production and exuded confidence in tackling this challenge head on, masterfully overcoming it. Next to Gustavo Schirmer – responsible for playing drums, synthesizers, guitar, chips and programming —, Lou Garcia he is credited with working on the arrangements for The eyes of the lion.
As for creating music by working together, Lou describes it as a very fun and special process, with ease of connection to achieve the desired goal: “That was basically it. We wanted to create a different trap, one that wasn’t generic,” says the artist.
